Dear Parents of Grade 8 Students,

The Nova Scotia Provoncial government and EECD will be conducting a province-wide Grade 8 assessment to measure individual student oerformance in reading, writing, and mathematics.The assessment  will take place over four mornings (May 25th, 26th, 31st and June 1st). This information is used to:

-provide teachers with information to inform instructional planning

-provide parents and guardians with information on their child's performance

-provide the EECD and school system with information used to inform educational decisions 

An information pamphlet will be coming home tomorrow which we encourage all families to read over (also attached here, below).  There is no special preparation necessary for students, however we do recommend a good night's sleep, breakfast, and a positive attitude to do their best.  Healthy snacks and break time will provided to the students.
